Not familiar with MJ or MJ’s body of work until wall-to-wall US mainstream media coverage after his passing. The coverages seem to reveal more about the interest, perversion, fixation or bias of those presenting. Reminded me to revisit my books on Ali and Malcolm X since greatness by a black person cannot be tolerated and therefore will be smeared and shredded, even in death. The slant and tone in Ebony is more even-handed and human. One cannot know the creator, only what has been created and delivered. MJ gave much for everyone to think about as well as simply enjoy. Truly inspiring.
Caveat: be very careful when wading through the pile for context, subtext and pretext on any subject that grabs your interest and move on.
