Just don’t read the negative reviews. After the passing of Michael Jackson, this movie has become a golden piece fro collectors & fans…We get to se MJ act and show us his true love and appreciation of art, acting, and singing. All characters are just awesome…Love the metaphors

The Wiz may not have been the best musical ever, but it still is fun to watch a great story of finding what you’re looking for in your own back yard

(New York City or anywhere else) Very energetic musical and dance numbers and the scenery of New York is worth it alone. Especially the scenes filmed at the World Trade Center which are now only a memory to never be forgotten. This movie deserves its place in Musical Movie History!

I love that it came with the Soundtrack. I have not seen this in over 20 years and it brought back memories. Obviously the effects are not up to par, but what in the late 70′s was??

When I got this DVD I was overjoyous. I hadn’t seen the wiz since I was a kid and I was finally going to be able to watch this with my nieces and nephews and bring it to a whole new genration of family. It’s been digitally remastered and all the colors and characters pop off the screen. I reccomend this DVD to add to everyone’s collection. It’s an instant classic what more can I say?!!

Just a wonderfull portraint of the biggest urban jungle called NY. The WIZ is also a look into the middle class African American who desire to better themselves.

This, the 30th Anniversary release of THE WIZ, is a far improved print from the earlier DVD release. The colors of each scene are bright and crisp, and the graininess has been cleaned a great deal. Included with this edition is a soundtrack CD featuring SOME of the songs from the film. Those expecting the entire soundtrack may be disappointed to see that they only get a small percentage of the original songs.

I was a little skeptical about the quality of this DVD, however that was resolved when I watched it on my 50in plasma. Good picture and good sound. Worth the price!

This is one of the best musicals ever made. I don’t care what anyone says. Forget “The Sound of Music”. Quincy Jones creates a true masterpiece with the sound track as well. And the acting is very good. I would have rather seen Stephanie Mills but you know the politics of the industry.
